For many already in the know, saying that Albania is a beautiful country is stating the obvious. Even so, the Albanian Riviera is a recent discovery for many European and American tourists. With pristine beaches of white sand and crystalline blue waters, the area has exploded as a tourist market over the last two decades, steadily becoming one of the world’s best locations for quality beaches, high class nightclubs, and five star hotels.

This is a trend that will surely continue over the next few years, considering that Albania has been recognized as one of the top travel destinations in the world by several of the most prestigious magazines and media outlets including The New York Times, Lonely Planet, National Geographic, and The BBC.

And how could it be any other way? When one finds himself in a place with such a wealth of unbelievable beaches, such as Himarë or Grama Bay, viewing the eternally snowy peaks of the Albanian Alps, or walking the narrow pebble-covered streets of the ancient cities of Apollonia or Berat, a Unesco World Heritage city, the true bounty of Albania becomes apparent. Albania is truly a touristic powerhouse, and hotels such as the Hotel Visad, in Saranda, are fully aware of the wonders that their country has to offer.

Hotel Visad is located in the historic city of Saranda, which is an important place for the Eastern Catholics and the Catholic Orthodox Church for the martyrdom of the 40 Saints. It also happens to be one of the most beautiful bays of the Ionian Sea. The hotel has an open view which allows its guests to enjoy the city of Saranda and the Greek island of Corfu.

Customer satisfaction meets local, high quality goods

Hotel Visad offers a wide range of services, from accommodations to Sun Terrace service, exclusive interior gardens, an international cocktail bar, a restaurant specializing in Greek cuisine, a private beach area with free parasols and sun loungers, room service that is available 24 hours a day, and free private parking.

Each of these services is performed professionally and in keeping with the highest quality standards, striving to achieve total customer satisfaction. This same philosophy is applied to the 24 hour reception desk, where bilingual service representatives, speaking both Albanese and English, are available to assist customers.

Hotel Visad’s management has decided to make a point of utilizing locally produced goods, using quality local products, from the curtains to the produce used in the kitchen, to supply the hotel. This allows Visad to attain fresh goods and artisan craftsmanship from local producers at better prices and with a more reliable distribution chain, creating a more cost-effective solution to the traditional approach of importing luxury good from remote areas. Also, these decisions bring forth a sense of authenticity to the travelers and guests, immersing them in a true Saranda experience.

For its respect towards local artisans, for its understanding and responsible sharing of Albania’s natural beauty, and for representing the ideals of cost-efficiency and total customer satisfaction, both core values of Total Quality Management, Business Initiative Directions has decided to award the BID International Quality Award 2016 to Hotel Visad in recognition of its commitment to excellence and the pursuit of continuous improvement.
